Coordinator, Fundraising & Special Events

Arooj Hussain joined We Care in 2018 as the Office and Events Administrator after volunteering on the 2018 Annual Dinner & Awards Gala planning committee. Arooj was promoted to the Coordinator, Fundraising & Special Events in 2019. In this role, Arooj is responsible for the planning, management, and execution of internal fundraising events, third party events, and various initiatives as required to achieve the organization’s mission. She also handles We Care’s CRM and online needs. Arooj had a career in journalism before jumping into event management and learned about third-party fundraising from previously working on the Community Events team at the SickKids Foundation.
