It could be said that Mike Shasky has foodservice running through his veins. He was exposed to the food brokerage and foodservice industry at a very early age through his father Charlie’s career. Mike has dedicated his professional life to the formation, growth, and continued success of C.W. Shasky & Associates Ltd., one of the country’s most prominent foodservice brokers. As a founding partner of C.W. Shasky more than 30 years ago, Mike has tackled every role and responsibility there is. In his current mandate as President, Mike remains committed to many philanthropic endeavours, not the least of which is We Care. He has personally extolled our virtues and lobbied all of his business partners for years to extend their participation and support to the We Care family.

In addition to the years of We Care support, Mike and his brother Jim Shasky continue to assist other groups such as ‘Alternatives Integrating People with Cognitive Challenges’ in Vaughan, ON. Additionally, Mike has been personally engaged with ‘Families in need – Hospital for Sick Children’, ‘Friends for Life’, ‘Captain John’s annual Holiday Dinner for the homeless’, and ‘Big Brothers’ of York region. He exudes a dynamic and passionate perspective, not only in his career, but his family life as well. He holds love and support for family and friends very dear to his heart, and he and his wife Mary have instilled the same virtues in their two sons, Christopher and Steven.
