Easter Seals Nova Scotia has been operating Camp Tidnish for people with disabilities for over 80 years. It sits on the mouth of Tidnish River in Baie Verte, NB. One of the unique features of the camp is the indoor, heated, barrier-free swimming pool. The river has extreme tides and doesn’t warm up until late summer, so the pool allows campers to swim all summer long. The accessible pontoon boat gives campers the opportunity to take a boat ride down the Tidnish River throughout the season. If they’d rather stay on dry land, the tractor-pulled accessible wagon does the trick! All this is in addition to traditional summer camp activities including campfires, arts & crafts, drama, nature walks, and sports.
