Manager, Fundraising & Special Events

Melissa is an experienced events professional with specialized expertise in technical theatre production, B2B events and community focused programming across nonprofit, public, and private sectors. She has led large-scale events, developed award-winning volunteer programs, and supported initiatives that drive funding and foster meaningful partnerships.

Prior to We Care, Melissa has managed and supported major events at City of Vaughan, City of Markham and venue rentals at Sankofa Square. With a background in the arts and a passion for public service, Melissa combines creativity with strategic planning to deliver impactful results.

Melissa holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Toronto Metropolitan University,  Event Management certificate from Centennial College, and a Master of Arts degree from Queen’s University.
