Kevin Collins Abilities Scholarship

The Kevin Collins Abilities Scholarship is presented to a post-secondary student with a disability. Eligible applicants must have at minimum one full semester left in their post-secondary education.

 

To apply for the 2024 award, fill out the  application form along with a 1-2 page letter or 1-2 minute video and email to [email protected] with the subject line ‘SCHOLARSHIP’.

 

The 2022 recipient is Hannah MacLellan of Pownal, Prince Edward Island. Hannah was born with Cerebral Palsy. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts, Honours in Human Rights and Social Justice, with a Minor in Disability Studies at Carleton University. She is planning on pursuing a Master’s Degree in Social Work before completing a Law Degree. Her goal is to use her abilities and tools obtained during her studies to continue her advocacy work, working on a policy advisor on accessibility issues in the Public Service Sector of the Federal Government. We Care would like to congratulate Hannah, and thank Aramark Canada for sponsoring this year’s award.

Bruce D. Curtis We Care Scholarship

The Bruce D. Curtis Scholarship, funded by We Care, is presented to former We Care Ambassadors who are pursuing post-secondary education or relevant trade training. Students are eligible to receive a $1,000 scholarship, for up to 4 years ($4,000 total) for each year they participate in post-secondary or trades education.

 

Former Ambassadors can apply by filling out an application form and sending supporting documents to We Care by March 15th of each year.
